Paint Correction

Paint correction is the Service you want if you're looking for a mirror-like finish to your paint. For this Service, the goal is to remove as many blemishes from the paint as possible. This usually requires 2-3 Passes with cutting compounds, then polishing compounds to finish it off.

This service is recommended if you have a collector car, or a hobby vehicle you want as prestine as possible.

This is a VERY time consuming process. All said and done (depending on the condition of the paint when I accept the vehicle), this is a 3-4 day process.

The first day is essentially spent washing, and decontaminating the paint. After an initial strip-wash, your vehicle will be sprayed down with iron remover to rid the paint of embedded metals. This will sit for a few minutes before it's rinsed off and the vehicle is claybarred.

Decontaminating the paint is something we do not rush. You'll see this (and feel it) on the finished product.

Once the paint is decontaminated, it's officially 'clean'. This is when it becomes smooth, you'll notice water will sheet right off.

Now we start cutting the paint with various Cutting and Polishing compounds. Most paints can be brought to 80-90% in 2-Passes. Some vehicles will require a coarser cut which will require a 3rd pass.
